"At the Table" (Last Supper) is an original performance created from the notebooks The Codex Forster I, II, III by Leonardo da Vinci: one of the most important and versatile artists of the Italian Renaissance, who mastered various fields of knowledge; about the resilience and impact of the Hebrew people in the history of humanity.
Man occupies, arranges, prepares, serves, places, sits, stands, lies down, exposes, turns the table. It is an invitation to reflect on the concepts of Humanity and Freedom. About intellect, populism, manipulation, and the enslavement of the masses. What is Power? Why do we fight for Freedom, Rights, and Equality? Ignorance, uncertainty, perplexity, envy, anger—Leonardo is an excellent observer and analyst who knows how to penetrate psychologically and capture gestures and expressions in individuals.
The whole society is in turmoil, in tumult: "One of you will betray me." Who is the traitor? Where is the enemy? What is the root of all evils? Martin Luther King, in a phrase of unquestionable value: "What worries me _is not the shouts of the wicked, but the silence of the good." The performance transports the critical, constructive, and inventive character of Leonardo da Vinci to our days: What important matters do we want to put on the table?
